An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Events Coordinator to join our Events team at Ramside Hall Hotel.

Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa is set in a unique location close to the historic city of Durham, surrounded by 350 acres of private grounds with two 18 hole Championship golf courses, a purpose built luxury on site spa complex, four bars and award winning restaurants.

It is essential that you have a wedding sales background within the hotel industry and the ability to work on weekends.The main purpose of this role is to contribute to the growth of the meetings, events and wedding business at Ramside Hall Hotel.

Self-confidence and the ability to professionally influence and persuade others is a must and attention to detail with a concern for order and quality and time management is essential. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and transform enquiries in to sales to achieve set targets.
  • Interact with guests and customers using a variety of sales techniques to create new clients and create loyalty through building long term professional relationships with the intention of growing the business.
  • Hold good knowledge of property facilities, services, products, rates, packages and promotions available, cross selling Spa, Golf, Weddings and accommodation
  • Conduct face to face appointments and show clients around the venue, identifying and understanding client needs and up-selling where appropriate.
  • Ensure the complete administration of all planned events, coordinate all details and ensure effective communication with other relevant teams and management, developing strong working relationships with colleagues in order to promote team working.
  • Follow-up with clients for feedback, repeat business and potential referrals and attend Conference and Event fairs to promote the groups Hotels.
  • Grow the Company’s social media presence for the group.
  • Provide input and ideas and assist in implementing the events strategy as set by the Events Manager.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of customer care that exceeds customer expectations, carrying out your duties with good grace, offering polite, smiling, attentive and a passionate prompt service whether via telephone, email or face to face.
  • Ensure that personal appearance and self-presentation reflects the high standards of the Company at all times.
